I am a fan of a rare breed of translated games. The Bamco (Namco Bandai) US team has not been very kind to the english speaking market. They aren't willing to take risks on very good games, while Japan is still spewing out awesome titles year after year.
For the psp Tales games, I wondered how to find out if it was possible for fan translators to make a translation that sits in your memory card, and if you own a legit copy of the original game, when it's put it, it will read the translation. Kinda like Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep or Persona 3 Portable is downloaded to shorten loading times, but they still require the game to be played.
This would promote sales. It wouldn't be illegal cause it would make you go out and buy a legit copy. It would also show Namco just how many people they are isolating by not releasing their games to the western market. I talked with my net bro and we both agree that we couldn't give two spits if the had english voices, as long as we could understand it. Heck Lost Odyssey, and the original .hack games let you play the game with japanese audio.
Let me know what you think please.

Brilliant idea! to bad like you said they aren't willing to risk it. (Bamco i mean) But yeah it would be awesome if some fans came along and did that.

Heck Lost Odyssey, and the original .hack games let you play the game with japanese audio. I will also note Persona allows for this as well. As for the Idea, Fandubs would be great, though that kinda hacking...I got a few friends who do this kinda thing. I'll look into it.
